Acts 1:8  And you will be witnesses in...

...Jerusalem

...Judea

...Samaria

...ends of the earth

In today's context, Jerusalem is our local home area. Judea Network congregations witness through servant evangelism, neighborhood outreaches and small group ministries.

The Judea of today consists of the under-served urbanized population that lacks  an authentic community of faith.

This zone is the core focus of the Judea Network ministry.

Samaria is often home to the marginalized or different. The above image, shown as a negative, represents  persons with cultural or special needs. Judea Network churches  emphasize reaching out to this key area. The Judea Network partners with the Kingdom Expansion ministry of Hosanna! in support of global church planting efforts.

    Who We Are

The Judea Network is an apostolic network of churches that share vision, values, beliefs and a commitment to Kingdom Expansion through the principle of multiplication. Judea Network’s mission is to support mainline church planters with training, coaching, internships and strategic partnering opportunities.

The Judea Network has helped to launch church starts in Rosemount at Community of Hope; Rejoice! in Northfield; The River in Farmington; Extreme Life at the University of Minnesota along with a new regional ministry in Scott County.

New church plants have the potential to draw many into the Kingdom of God, especially those in the mainline traditions. Although we are a ministry of a Lutheran (ELCA) affiliated church, our network is not denominational. We desire to work within Lutheranism as well as across denominational boundaries.

The Holy Spirit is urging us to develop relationships with entrepreneurial-minded church planters and denominational leaders who can nourish the healthy seed of a new church plant into tilled plots that are ready for the harvest. The model we envision offers newly formed church plants a measure of safety as well as freedom to attract and disciple believers in innovative ways. If our Master Gardener wills, we can plant an orchard of righteousness…together.

Where we came from

The Judea Network is a result of the desire of our parent church, Hosanna! to invite people into a lifelong journey with Jesus Christ which leads to a new community and a changed life.

The history of Hosanna! and the Judea Network is grounded in church planting.  In 1980, the ELCA planted the seed that we know today as Hosanna! by sending Bill Bohline, Hosanna!’s founding pastor, into Lakeville to start a mission congregation. Through God’s blessing, that mission congregation has grown into a healthy church that draws over 4,000 persons into worship on a weekly basis.

We liken the work God has done in this garden to the lifecycle of a healthy tree. The seedling sunk deep roots below the ground in the 1980’s in order to experience extraordinary growth above the ground into 2005 and beyond. Like a mature, healthy tree Hosanna! is now reproducing…The Judea Network staff and members of Hosanna! invite you to join us on this journey of Mainliners Multiplying Churches.
